Hai pies. To set the “dough”, we are a group of passionate individuals that met in the "Room about Nothing" on Clubhouse, on February 18th, 2021. By some stroke of pepperoni, the idea of putting together a collaborative art project to feed the world on May 22nd was baked. The group was small at first, but miraculously, that group began to grow. In just under three weeks, the small group mushroomed into over 1200 members with a simple goal: throw the world’s biggest pizza party. How? Through funds raised selling Rare Pizza NFT collectibles. We’ll use 50% to throw the world’s largest pizza party, 49% to support contributors and 1% to continue the tradition in the form of a DAO. And you're invited to the party. You deserve it. For many of us, last year was hard AF and it would have truly warmed our hearts if a kind stranger had offered us hot pizza in a difficult time. U hungy?
So we call on the Pizza Shop owners around the world join us, prep your dough, warm those ovens, and prepare for PIZZA!
At first it was simple, we bought our flour, yeast, and the best olive oil we could find. Then we sought out over 200+ artists contributors to add the toppings to our very Rare Pizzas! In record time, we have hundreds of toppings prepared for our pizza party! But making pizza and toppings is a bit more complicated than just mixing up all the ingredients. In addition to all our artists, we have the cheesiest marketing crew, the sauciest developers, and the crustiest ground team you’ve ever seen!
So with this goal in mind, the world’s largest pizza party, we’re going to have to sell A LOT of Rare Pizza NFTs. At a month in on the timeline, we are currently offering select reservation periods in the form of a 1/100 random Rare Pizzas Box NFT. We tested the recipe with the goal of a Pi Day launch. We purchased pizza for random members of our Clubhouse groups in exchange for “proof of pizza” and eagerly awaited completion, but as the end of the day grew near, we realized we would not meet this deadline.
But alas! Pi is 3.1415! We were saved!
So with little sleep, the Box Folders worked tirelessly into the night, constantly cutting their fingers as they worked at lightning speed. Finally it was time, and we allowed in our “Friends and Family”. We greeted them with a smile, but in an instant our boxes were gone. Our Box Folder’s simply could not keep up!
We eventually opened to the public 12 hours after and the boxes continued to fly out the door, knowing one day they would be filled with Rare Pizzas. But then! That’s when someone caught Uncle Giuseppe gaming the system! He was in the back folding his own boxes! So we were forced to shut it down and give the Box Folder’s a break.
Now we’ve had sufficient time to rest and the kitchen staff are back prepping the pies. Rare Pizzas will resume their sales at the last sold price (0.71052 Ether) on Saturday, March 20th, first to whitelisted individuals that had previously purchased contributor artwork and missed the first whitelist and any of those sales moving forward from this point.

After a brief window to allow for those purchases to occur, we will once again reopen the reservations to the public but keep in mind our Box Folder’s may need another break before we finish the run! WE WILL BE REOPENING 3:14 PM ON SUNDAY MARCH 21, 2021. (Time Zone is hidden somewhere on the website! Good luck, pies!)
